Brown sugar milk tea at home (boba-shop style)
Short answer: brew one Mad Tea Brown Sugar Milk Tea pod on Lungo in a Nespresso® Original machine, then add up to 110 ml of your own milk – hot, or over ice for the boba-shop version. Add cooked tapioca pearls if you like (not included). Each pod has 1 g of sugars and 21 kJ before milk.

What's in the pod
Ingredients: Black Tea (80%), Glucose, Brown Sugar Flavour, Sweetener (955 – sucralose). The pod is already sweetened, and there's no milk powder, creamer, vegetable oil or emulsifier in the ingredient list – the milk is whatever you add.

Three ways to make it
1. Hot brown sugar milk tea
- Put a mug under the spout, drop in a pod and press Lungo once.
- Add up to 110 ml of hot or frothed milk and stir.
2. Iced brown sugar milk tea
- Fill a tall glass with ice.
- Brew one pod on Lungo straight over the ice.
- Top with up to 110 ml of cold milk and stir.
3. With tapioca pearls (boba-shop style)
- Cook tapioca pearls following the instructions on their packet, then spoon them into the bottom of a glass.
- Add ice, brew one pod on Lungo over the top, then add up to 110 ml of cold milk.
- Serve with a wide straw.
Prefer a plain tea? Skip the milk and press Lungo twice for a full cup, hot or iced.
Tip: we suggest no more than 110 ml of milk per pod – more than that and the tea flavour gets lost.

FAQ
Does Brown Sugar Milk Tea contain milk?
No. The ingredients are black tea, glucose, brown sugar flavour and sweetener (955). You add your own milk, so you can use any milk you like.
Is it already sweet?
Yes. Each pod is sweetened with glucose and sucralose (955) and has 1 g of sugars before milk, so you may not need to add any.
Are tapioca pearls included?
No. Pearls are optional – buy them separately and cook them following the packet instructions.
Do I have to subscribe?
